| The chicks are now a little over 3 weeks old and don't seem to mind sharing their space with some freshly-dyed Shetland fiber. |

| They are now starting what we refer to as the "baby dinosaur stage". Their legs stretch out and look too long for their bodies. Many of their feathers have come in, save those on the head which are still downy. |

| They are now rather scruffy, awkward-looking little birds that look like nothing more than miniature prehistoric creatures. |

Well loved and cared for miniature prehistoric creatures, that is. They are living the high life at Blue Gate farms. Yesiree. That is one flock of lucky chicks ;)
LOL! Truly that is the case...they live in the warmest room in the house!
They are so ugly cute at this stage! I just love them.
Chicks totally crack me up. I love when they're itty bitty like that and they start scratching at the ground.
We are expecting our new little chicks in about a month ... forgot how wonderful their little cardboard-enclosed 'home' is, and how strange they look at that intermediate stage!
